If you would like something totally unique and not as common as the Mexican red knee tarantula, then you could opt for the gooty ornamental species which has plenty of colour. For more choice you could opt for the tree species, they tend to be just as colourful if not more so.
there are thousands of species in the world, you could choose the Chilean rose, but then again they are even more common than the other Mexican red knee tarantula.
There are tons of species, this is merely to highlight the good looking ones, like the Costa Rican zebra spider, they would be a good choice for design
The Indian ornamentals are now also becoming popular and they are great looking species for a tattoo.
This particular species has good colourings underneath as well as on top and they get large as well.
You might not like the thought of tarantulas but what about the thought of eating them, some tribes that live deep in the jungles, also eat them as a type of a fast food while on the hunt for food and use their fangs as tooth picks

There is also no tarantula species which is deadly to man, there are a few which contain venom, but they are defiantly not deadly.
