Tattoo designs, are so hot that it seems like everyone is getting a tat these days, they are everywhere in things like movies, TV shows and even a book about it, but if you are looking for that special tattoo just for you you have probably come across the biggest question, which one is the right one for me?

As usual the best place to start is – the beginning, as there are so many options on offer that can be quiteexciting if sometimes a little overwhelming. But one must always remember the importance of the decision, at the end of the day a good tattoo design is a piece of art you are going to have for the rest of your life. So relax, grab a tea or coffee and have a good look at all the options that you like.

Invest Time In Design Planning

Obviously the best place to look at all the different tats is the place you are now, the net, but when you really get into it, you can’t remember which tattoo designs you look at yesterday, let alone ones from an hour ago. So a good idea is to save your favorite ones on your PC, then you can go over your short list easily and cull them down to a handful of ones you would actually consider getting done.

Then make sure you make a few trips to your tattoo artist, once you have chosen him or her, to talk about the tattoo design you have chosen and they can walk you trough some ideas that might enhance your ink or ideas that you never would have thought of yourself that can greatly enhance the design. The more time you spend planning and designing your new ink, the more ongoing reward you will get from a tattoo that is unique to you. After all, prior preparation prevents poor performance.

Where To Put It

The placement of your new tattoo design can have as much to do with you loving it forever as the design itself, and where you end up deciding to put it will probably have some bearing on the ink itself. For example, if you want to get a nice little tattoo on your wrist you are hardly going to get a big tiger head, as it will need to be reduced so much to fit, you won’t be easily seen from a distance.

Tattoo designs placement is also something you need to invest the time talking through with your chosen tattoo artist, and as with the design be open to their input on where to put it, after all they have probably been working with tattoos longer than you have been thinking about getting one, so they should know what they are on about. Are you getting a tattoo to mark a specific occasion or experience in your life? Or are you getting a tattoo because you specifically want a tat on your ass?

If you know where, and what is secondary, make that clear to your artist and they can give you some goo tips on what looks good for the different sexes on that part of the body. Whereas, if the what is more important, spend the time talking about placement with your artist and see what suggestions they have for you. One fun thing to do is print the tattoo design out, stick it on various parts of your body and get a friend to take some snaps so you can see what they are going to look like.
